Good pick for a couple of nights in Takayama with great value. The onsen was fantastic for relaxing after walking around. Make sure to check the onsen hours, as it closes during the day.

The meal service was absolute chaos! Upon arrival, we found the Japanese restaurant fully booked, and the staff couldn't have been more unhelpful. They shoved a pre-fixed menu in my face, with no effort to communicate or make me feel welcome. Plus, trying to find food after those confusing dining hours was a nightmare, as every restaurant in the area shuts down by 8:30 PM. It was incredibly frustrating!

I stayed at Hida Takayama Onsen Takayama Green for a couple of nights and loved it. The outdoor onsen experience blew me away, especially soaking in the serene garden setting. My room felt luxurious and had fantastic decor touches that made it special. The staff provided exceptional service. they were friendly and attentive throughout. Many dining options were available, and I particularly enjoyed the Kaiseki meal. However, the shuttle service could use improvement. Only limited times were available, which made planning a bit tricky. Overall, this hotel made my stay feel like a real treat.

i had a fantastic stay at hida takayama onsen takayama green. the room was spacious and super comfy with great futons. the staff were so welcoming and allowed us to check in early and leave our bags while we explored. the onsen was amazing, especially the outdoor one.
